Parent Volunteerism

Parent volunteerism is the lifeblood of our school.  Afternoon activities are enriched by the expertise and enthusiasm that parents bring directly into the classroom.  Art and PE classes are planned and led by a team of dedicated parents.  A variety of other activities such as gardening, music, knitting, and cooking are enhanced by the presence of parent volunteers.  We are always in need of parents to drive on field trips, help in the office, and substitute teach.

Parents also volunteer their time to activities outside of the classroom.  Serving on the Board and committees such as Operations, Financial Aid, Fundraising, and Marketing are other ways for parents to share their gifts.

There are several activities throughout the school year that require all families to participate.  These activities include the school musical as well as the annual move-in and move-out activities in the fall and late spring.

Parent volunteerism not only enriches student life at TLC, but allows our school to also function as a unique community.  The school thrives on each family’s participation.  There are many ways to share your gifts and talents at TLC!
